Are gooey, fudgey, perfect brownies a favorite in your house too? This made from scratch brownies are seriously the best brownies you will ever eat!
I don’t know about yours, but my family has a major sweet tooth. I don’t really like to make box brownies very often, not only do they not tastes that great but most of them have added chemicals that I do not really like to give to my children.
So, I tried to figure out a good recipe and after trying a few, I think we have found our favorite! These gooey brownies are so delicious. But beware, they are very rich and thick!
Now we tried making them with dark chocolate and dark cocoa, they were good, but we like them better with milk chocolate and regular cocoa. However, feel free to try swapping out the milk chocolate bars with dark chocolate and the regular cocoa with specialty dark chocolate.
Make sure when you are making your ganache that your butter is very hot! This will melt your chocolate and make it nice and smooth.
The most important part of these brownies is to make sure you beat your egg mixture for at least 10 minutes, you want your egg and sugar mixture to be thick and airy almost like pancake batter.
And oh my gosh does this batter smell so good! I could really just eat the batter without even making the brownies.
It is important to sift then fold in your flour and cocoa powder, over stirring will reduce the air and make the brownies flatter and less fluffy.
Now that we have perfected this recipe we are making them all the time! Believe it or not they taste really good with some sea salt added to the top. If you would like to add walnuts, do so after folding in flour mixture. You can also add chocolate chips, m&m’s or whatever you would like before baking them for the 2nd 20 minutes. They are so good with a big glass of milk!
