Everyone loves hot chocolate! But what about white hot chocolate with caramel?!
Yes! Makes your mouth water just thinking about it! Wait until you taste it. It has just enough white chocolate and caramel to make everyone love it.
Our family is big hot chocolate drinkers. We have tried many different kinds, including crock pot hot chocolate.
So, I figured we would try something new and since my daughter absolutely loves white chocolate I said let’s try white hot chocolate. And of course, we had to add some caramel in there!
The best thing about this white hot chocolate is that it only uses 3 ingredients! Yep, 3!
What ingredients does white hot chocolate have?
- White chocolate instant pudding
- Kraft Caramel Candies
When whisking your milk and instant pudding together, make sure you are stirring constantly or it will stick to the bottom of the pan, causing lumping.
It can be whipped together in just a few minutes. Longest part is making the caramel sauce. Which can be done in the microwave, I just think it tastes better cooked on the stove.
Make sure you reserve some of your caramel sauce to top your white hot chocolate with!
I used 18 Kraft Caramels (found in the candy section) however, 20 would work just fine. If you feel that the sauce is too thick, just add a little more milk.
Keeping it simple I topped it with some ready whip, but you can use marshmallows, cool whip or homemade whipped topping.
My daughters loved this white hot chocolate so much. My oldest told me it tasted like a “graham cracker smoothie.”
How do you make white hot chocolate with caramel sauce?
- Whisk milk and pudding together
- Melt caramel and milk on stove or in microwave
- Combine caramel with pudding mixture
- Put in mugs
- Top with ready whip and remaining caramel
Serve hot, store left overs in refrigerator.
This white hot chocolate is made with white chocolate and caramel candies to give is a delicious flavor.
4 1/2 Quarts of milk
6 oz Jello White Chocolate Pudding Mix
3 tablespoons milk
18 Kraft caramels
- In large saucepan combine 4 1/2 quarts of milk with pudding mix
- Bring to simmer
- Whisk constantly for about 2 minutes
- Remove from heat
- In medium saucepan combine caramel candies and 3 tablespoons of milk
- Whisk over medium heat until caramels are totally melted.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons for topping
